It was Zhao Fanzhou’s first time in Zhou Xiao’s dorm.

“Which desk is yours?” he asked.

Only then did Zhou Xiao realize her desk looked like a battlefield. “Uh… are you heading out soon? The dorm manager said, “Visitors can’t stay more than half an hour.”

“It’s only been five minutes…” He glanced at her. “Let me guess—your desk is the messiest one here?”

Zhou Xiao: “……”

Zhao Fanzhou sighed. “Makes me really question marrying you.”

Zhou Xiao couldn’t help snapping back, “Well, it’s not like I’m dying to marry you either.”

“Then maybe I should just make it a done deal now—no room for regrets later.”

He stepped closer with each word, and she instinctively backed away until he finally had her cornered against the wall…

Mini Scene 2

“You have to text me every single day, okay?” Zhou Xiao clung to Zhao Fanzhou’s hand, reluctant to get into the car.

“Alright. Get in—the driver’s already glaring at us,” Zhao Fanzhou said.

“Let him glare. He’s just jealous you have such a young and gorgeous girlfriend.”

Zhao Fanzhou let out a sigh. “Could your skin be any thicker?”

Right after saying goodbye, Zhao Fanzhou’s phone rang. It was Zhou Xiao.

“Did you forget something?” he asked.

“Nope,” she replied cheerfully. “I just figured I’d call while we’re still in S City. Long-distance charges haven’t kicked in yet.”
